All Hallow's Eve craftin'

After long discussions, contemplation & pinterest searching ... we had all decided on our All Hallow's Eve crafts.

As with most of our family projects - a pet was nearby.
Sitting, watching, curious as to what it was the crazy humans were up to, again.

so begins the blogging...

Ever since I can remember, I've loved making the world around me a prettier place. I have a weakness for scrapbooking, look for any reason to redecorate & every year I can't WAIT for the holidays. They're an annual excuse to jazz up your everyday living into something fantastical.

It was time for Halloween pumpkin night with our daughters; 15 and 8. The plan was to make some Halloween crafts and carve/decorate our pumpkins. Our teenager looked on, bored out of her mind before we even began. As we looked online for new pumpkin carving ideas - she searched for every excuse to go back to reading in her room and listening to 'angry music.'

That was when I came to the realization that our youngest won't always be this excited for the simple things like arts & crafts and cooking. Soon she'll be more interested in i-pods, shopping at the mall, and texting her friends, than anything we'd be doing on 'family night.'

Then and there I decided it was time to get serious about arts, crafts, and all things fun :)

ok ... as serious as you can get about something this fun :)

I have found a new addiction that enables my crafty addiction  .. it's called Pinterest.
It's realistically just a place for pictures of your plans for procrastination. LoL

... here we are; let's have some fun ..
